A down town development agency by the name of  CentreVenture is now planning a spending binge to try and make our downtown a better place for people to visit. There is a lot of things that CentreVenture is planning to do with this money. Luckily for us Argyle will get to reap some of the benefits. What was once the former home of Gateway soaps is now little more than a scrap yard on waterfront drive and Argyle street. CentreVenture just bought the land and they are planning to turn it into a community park and athletic facility for Argyle School, located right behind the school. They want to include a outdoor classrooms, skating oval and some artistic element from the nearby Graffiti gallery. The site is most likely going to be cleaned up by the summer, with a plan in place before the end of the year. I think this will be a great development to our school, it will attract more people from out the area to come to your school .
